PGOM hands its local public transport route plan to LTFRB

Gov. Bonz handed over the Local Public Transport Route Plan to transport officials

On the occasion of the Modern PUV Caravan South Luzon Leg with the theme, “Arangkada ng Pagbabago, Tungo sa Kaunlaran,” Governor Bonz Dolor signed and handed over Oriental Mindoro’s Local Public Transport Route Plan to Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Chairperson Atty. Martin B. Delgra III making the province the first to submit its LPTRP earlier today.

The Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) is a plan detailing the route network, mode, and required number of units per mode for delivering public land transport services. This is prepared Department of Transportation Local Public Transport Route Plan Manual 7 by local government units and approved by the Department/LTFRB. This plan shall serve as the basis of a comprehensive local transport plan. (LPTRP Manual, Vol.1)

On his message, Gov. Bonz reiterated his plans and campaign promise of easing the burden of the people of Oriental Mindoro with regards to public transportation. He said that today, he is signing the Ordinance adopting the LPTRP to fulfill his promise and deliver beneficial public service to all his constituents.

LTFRB Chair Delgra, on the other hand, commended the Governor for his instantaneous actions and promised that the Department will immediately take necessary response in order to bring safe, modern and convenient public transport system to all Mindoreños.

Present during the event were some LFTRB personalities, Land Transportation Office (LTO) representatives, Landbank personnel and some local government officials.

Inauguration of PUVs followed immmediately after the program witnessed by officers and members of local transport cooperatives.
