The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro under the administration of Provincial Governor Bonz Dolor initiated a Traveller’s Assistance Help Desk located at the entrance of the Batangas Port in Sta. Clara, Batangas City for travelers going to the province.
This is in response to commuters complaints stemming from additional requirement imposed by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) particularly the Smart, Safe, Swift Passage or S-PASS, an online travel management system.
The help desk is directly supervised by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) headed by PDRRM Officer Vinscent B. Gahol and complemented by personnel from the Office of the Governor-Special Concerns Division and the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
The program which started on June 4 is part of the Balik Probinsya 2021 program of the Provincial Government which include a one week “Libreng Sakay” from Metro Manila to Batangas Port and “Diskwento sa Barko”.
