Governor Bonz Dolor of Oriental Mindoro received his second dose of COVID-19 vaccine on June 6.
The Governor was with his wife, Hiyas Govinda R. Dolor, who also received her second dose at the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH) in Calapan City.
On May 8 of this year, husband and wife got their first dose.
The country’s Interim National Immunization Technical Advisory Group (NITAG) approved under the priority group A4, local government officials after frontline health workers (A1), senior citizens (A2) and persons with co-morbidities (A3).
As of 01 June 2021, the total number of individuals from the four priority groups fully vaccinated in Oriental Mindoro has reached 19,731 according to the COVID-19 Vaccination Report of the Provincial Health Office (PHO). Governor Bonz wanted to set an example to his fellow Mindoreños who are still hesitant to be vaccinated that being inoculated is safe, gives protection to the individual and minimizes the risk of contracting COVID-19.
