23 June 2026, Bongabong – Elderly citizens of Barangay San Isidro, Bongabong now have a more comfortable space for gatherings, following the inauguration of their new Senior Citizens’ Building this 23 June.
Gov. Humerlito A. Dolor and First Lady Hiyas Govinda Ramos-Dolor led the ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new infrastructure granted by the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) to said barangay.
Said project is expected to be used for meetings, recreational activities, and other events of the senior citizens, aimed at maintaining their active participation in the community.
In his message, Gov. Dolor recognized the significant role of elderly citizens to the development of the society.
He also reaffirmed PGOM’s commitment to implement programs that will further strengthen their sector in the community.
Meanwhile, beneficiaries of the new building expressed gratitude to the Governor for providing a dedicated space for them.
Officials and staff from the Local Government Unit (LGU) Bongabong, Brgy. San Isidro Local Council, senior citizens and residents from said barangay joined and witnessed the occasion.
