Recent road crash incidents in the region, including the vehicular accident in Socorro, Oriental Mindoro, remind us that road safety is a shared responsibility.
As Acting Regional Director of PRO MIMAROPA, I have directed all police units across MIMAROPA to intensify highway patrol operations, strengthen police visibility in accident-prone areas, and enhance coordination with concerned agencies to help prevent further road tragedies and improve emergency response capabilities.
Under our βF.I.G.H.T. C.R.I.M.E.S.β framework, we remain committed to responsive, disciplined, and efficient police service focused on protecting lives and ensuring public safety.
I likewise urge all motorists to remain vigilant, observe traffic laws, avoid overspeeding, ensure the roadworthiness of their vehicles, and prioritize safety at all times.
PRO MIMAROPA will continue strengthening road safety operations, public assistance, and emergency response measures across the region to help ensure safer roads and safer communities for every MIMAROPA.
