The ๐๐๐จ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ค๐๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ is a capacity-building initiative led by ๐ฟ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐พ๐, designed to equip Local Government Units (LGUs), national agencies, and stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to utilize digital platforms such as ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ง๐๐๐ช๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง๐๐, ๐๐๐ค๐ผ๐ฃ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ฉ๐๐๐จ๐๐, ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐. These tools support data-driven decision-making in disaster risk reduction, land use planning, and emergency management.
This initiative is in line with the thrust of the administration of ๐๐ค๐ซ๐๐ง๐ฃ๐ค๐ง ๐๐ช๐ข๐๐ง๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ค โ๐ฝ๐ค๐ฃ๐ฏโ ๐ฟ๐ค๐ก๐ค๐ง to build disaster-resilient communities through science-based and data-driven planning.
Given the provinceโs vulnerability to natural hazards, including tropical cyclones, flooding, landslides, coastal risks, and seismic events, this initiative is both timely and essential. These hazards continue to pose significant threats, often resulting in agricultural damage, socio-economic disruption, and loss of lives and properties.
Through this training, ๐๐ง๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ก ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ค๐ง๐ค takes a proactive step toward strengthening local capacities, promoting science-based planning, and enhancing community resilience in the face of disasters.
