28 April 2026, Pinamalayan – At the heart of Oriental Mindoro, a new landmark draws crowds as Fontana del Gobernador in the Municipality of Pinamalayan officially opened to the public on 24 April.
Fontana del Gobernador stands as part of Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor’s “One Town, One Legacy” project, an initiative aimed at strengthening local tourism by developing signature attractions in each municipality.
The Fontana del Gobernador is expected to become a central gathering point for both residents and tourists in this part of the province.
Governor Dolor and First Lady Hiyas Govinda Ramos-Dolor led the inauguration, joined by Vice Governor Antonio S. Perez Jr., Pinamalayan Mayor Rodolfo Magsino, Vice Mayor Aristeo Baldos Jr., and other government officials.
Highlight of the site is its musical dancing fountain, which offers a refreshing attraction amid the park’s open space, drawing visitors to gather, relax, and enjoy the show.
Aside from Calapan City, Pinamalayan is now the second location in the province to feature this kind of tourist attraction.
Fontana del Gobernador’s inauguration is one of the highlights of the 27th Bahaghari Festival and the 110th founding anniversary of the Municipality of Pinamalayan this year.
