The Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL EDISON V REVITA, Provincial Director, has fully deployed comprehensive security measures to ensure a safe, orderly, and meaningful observance of Semana Santa 2026 across the province.
In line with this, police personnel have been strategically deployed to key areas, including churches, transport terminals, and other convergence points. Establishment of Police Assistance Desks (PADs), intensified police visibility, checkpoint operations, and mobile patrols are continuously being conducted to deter criminal activities and provide immediate assistance to the public.
As part of its proactive approach, the OrMin PPO also carried out Red Teaming activities to assess the readiness and responsiveness of personnel on the ground. This forms part of a broader effort to evaluate operational effectiveness and implement timely improvements in police operations.
Likewise, close coordination with partner agencies, local government units, and force multipliers is being strengthened to ensure a unified and efficient security coverage throughout the Holy Week and Summer Vacation period.
“Our personnel remain on full alert to ensure the safety and security of everyone during this Holy Week. We encourage the public to stay vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and immediately report any suspicious activities,” PCOL Revita said.
The OrMin PPO assures the public of its continuous dedication to maintaining peace and order, allowing everyone to observe Semana Santa with safety, solemnity, and peace of mind.
