31 March 2026, Calapan City – To further enhance its healthcare facilities and services, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro officially opened the newly renovated Building 3 of the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH) last 31 March in Sta. Isabel, this City.
Governor Bonz Dolor led the opening ceremony, joined by Officer-in-Charge Chief of Hospital and PHO II Dr. Cielo Angela Ante, Assistant Chief of Hospital Dr. Catherine Genabe, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Members Alely Casubuan-Tan, Ryan Arago, and Atty. Farrah Fay Ilano-Navarro, along with other hospital officials.
Upgraded Building 3 now houses the medical and the surgery-orthopedics ward and is expected to deliver more efficient and comfortable care for patients.
This facility also offers 35 rooms with a 105-bed capacity, including additional rooms for other healthcare services.
Rev. Fr. Cenon Garcia of the San Lorenzo Ruiz Parish led the blessing of the facility.
Personal hygiene kits were distributed to patients who were transferred to the new building.
