19 March 2026, Calapan City – Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) officially inaugurated a new Php3.5 million Multi-Purpose Building in Brgy. Silonay, Calapan City on March 18, 2026.
Led by Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, and with aim of enhancing local governance and public service, said facility was constructed in 2025 and completed this February.
It will serve as the primary Barangay Hall of Silonay.
Without straining the barangay’s budget, Gov. Dolor assured to provide essential office furniture, including chairs and tables to ensure the building is immediately functional.
Meanwhile, Silonay Brgy. Captain Francisco Cleofe Fortu, on behalf of his constituents, expressed his gratitude to the PGOM noting that this is a significant upgrade in delivering quality community services.
Provincial Engineer’s Offices (PEO) employees also attended said inauguration.
