19 March 2026, Calapan City – Fifteen Municipal and City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officers (M/CDRRMOs) received digital tablets to strengthen their disaster preparedness and emergency response.
Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor personally led the distribution last 17 March as an initiative of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) to reinforce seamless coordination of rescue efforts in the province through real-time and technology-driven response system.
Said tablets are expected to streamline communication and speed up the submission of incident reports during calamities and other emergencies.
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Vinscent B. Gahol emphasized that said gadgets are integrated with a soon-to-be-launched application designed for weather monitoring and real-time situation tracking across different areas of Oriental Mindoro.
Office of Civil Defense Regional Director Arnulfo C. Matanguihan witnessed said activity geared toward a more connected and responsive disaster management system.
