17 March 2026, Calapan City – DepEd Oriental Mindoro showcased its achievements to Provincial Governor Humerlito A. Dolor following the recently concluded MIMAROPA Regional Athletics Association (MRAA) Meet 2026.
Leading the courtesy call were former Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Felix Famaran, Chief Education Program Supervisor and concurrent Officer-in-Charge Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Hadie M. Padua, and Education Program Supervisor Eddy A. Dalisay. OrMin delegation finished 1st runner-up Best LGU, Champion for Most Disciplined Delegation, and 1st runner-up for Cleanest Billeting Quarter.
The Division also took home 17 trophies and 348 medals from various sporting events, highlighting its strong performance in the MRAA 2026.
Meanwhile, Dolor emphasized the importance of the strong partnership between DepEd and the Provincial Government in ensuring the success of the athletic meet.
He also commended the determination, skills, and talents of the young athletes from Oriental Mindoro, who gave their best to bring pride and honor to the province.
He likewise recognized the significant role played by the Provincial Public Employment Services Office (PPESO), led by Antonio M. Magnaye Jr., and the Special Concerns Division, headed by SCD Chief Junielo Alcuran, in ensuring that the needs of each athlete were met throughout the competition.
