05 March 2026, Calapan City – Oriental Mindoro demonstrated outstanding performance in managing public funds after receiving three prestigious awards from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) MIMAROPA on 4 March at the Balar Hotel and Spa, Boac, Marinduque.
Led by Regional Director Ricky L. Sanchez, the province received the highest distinction (Rank 1) for its prompt compliance in the approval and filing of the FY 2026 Annual Budget.
DBM MIMAROPA also recognized the province’ timely submission of the Public Financial Management (PFM) Assessment Report and PFM Improvement Plan by awarding first place in the Provincial Level and 2nd Place in the Regional Level.
Provincial Budget Officer May Anne Joy M. Ylagan personnally received the awards on behalf of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM).
Said achievements symbolized the collective efforts of various PGOM departments, under theleadership of Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor, to ensure that public funds are properly planned and ready to support programs, initiatives, and projects that directly benefit Mindoreños.
