Day 2 of the Community Risk Assessment (CRA) Workshop for the Municipality of Bulalacao
March 3, 2026
Regional Evacuation Center, Poblacion, Bulalacao
Today, the eight (
remaining barangays (Balatasan, San Francisco, San Roque, Maasin, Milagrosa, Poblacion, Maujao and San Juan) actively participated in meaningful discussions, building on the momentum from Day 1. With openness and collaboration, participants identified hazards present in their communities, assessed vulnerabilities, mapped out available resources, and strengthened their shared commitment to disaster resilience.
Throughout the workshop, barangay officials and representatives demonstrated that preparedness is truly a collective responsibility. By utilizing participatory tools and community-based approaches, each barangay was able to consolidate key inputs for their respective BDRRM Plans—moving beyond reactive measures and embracing proactive, risk-informed planning.
More than just an activity, the CRA rollout became a powerful reminder that resilient communities are built when people come together, listen to one another, and take action as one.
This initiative is aligned with the thrust of the administration of Governor Humerlito Dolor, continuously strengthening disaster preparedness and resilience across the province of Oriental Mindoro.
This CRA is one significant step closer to a safer and more resilient OrMin.
