Led by SBHTM Department ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฆ๐ต๐ถ๐ฟ๐น๐ฒ๐ ๐ ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ๐๐ฎ, the School of Business, Hospitality and Tourism Management of Divine Word College of Calapan (DWCC) is spearheading Convene 2026: 13th Business Summit โ Sustainable Opportunities and Advancements, Reaching Innovative Growth today, February 26-27, 2026, at the DWCC Campus.
Supporting the summit by the Provinci Government of ORiental Mindoro thru the Provincial Cooperative Development Office of Oriental Mindoro (๐ฃ๐๐๐ข), spearheaded by Mr. ๐ข๐ฟ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ ๐. ๐ง๐ถ๐๐ผ๐ป, PGDHโPCDO, through the conduct of the ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ถ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฟ.
The two-day trade fair (February 26โ27) features at least 20 cooperatives and livelihood associations across the province, highlighting product display and direct selling of agricultural produce, processed food items, and locally crafted goods. The initiative expands market access for grassroots enterprises while exposing students and stakeholders to locally driven business models.
Dean Mendoza emphasizes that the summit strengthens academic-industry collaboration and provides students with real-world engagement in sustainable enterprise development. Meanwhile, Mr. Tizon underscores that the trade fair addresses common challenges of small producers, particularly limited access to institutional markets and structured selling platforms.
Convene 2026 and the accompanying trade fair run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at DWCC ๐ ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ผ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐, bringing together the academe, government, and grassroots enterprises in advancing inclusive economic growth in Oriental Mindoro.
