Largest PGOM TRASS project to be constructed in Bongabong

10 February 2026, Bongabong – Construction of the 5,000 square meter Tourist Rest Stop and Souvenir Shop (TRASS) project of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) is set to begin after its groundbreaking ceremony last 09 February in Brgy. Sagana, Bongabong.

In line with the commitment of  PGOM, in partnership with the Tourism Infrastracture and Economic Zone Authority (TIEZA), said project is pursuant to the Provincial Ordinance No. 172-2024 (TRASS Ordinance), which aims to establish facilities that will serve as temporary rest stop for both local and foreign tourists in the province.

According to Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, it is the largest TRASS project of the Provincial Government that will serve as a tourism hub for travelers and locally-produced products that reflects the identity of the province.

TRASS Bongabong will be constructed at a land owned by the Municipal Government of Bongabong led by Mayor Michael Malaluan and their Municipal Council.
