ππππ: Coast Guard Station Oriental Mindoro, together with its Sub-Stations across the province, is on heightened alert and has implemented full preparedness measures in anticipation of the possible impacts of Tropical Storm βBASYANG.β
In line with preparedness measures, the stationβs Disaster Response Group (DRG) has been activated to ensure immediate readiness for search and rescue, maritime safety, and humanitarian assistance operations should the need arise. All personnel and response assets are on standby to provide rapid assistance to affected communities.
The Coast Guard Station has also strengthened coordination with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices (MDRRMOs) to ensure synchronized response efforts, timely information sharing, and efficient deployment of resources before, during, and after the tropical storm and also reminded fisherfolk and boat operators to observe safety precautions and to avoid going out to sea while weather conditions are unsafe.
The Coast Guard Station Oriental Mindoro continues to monitor the situation and urges the public to follow official advisories.
