Mindoreño student tops VII Copernicus Olympiad in US

26 February 2026, Calapan City – Mindoreño student earned international recognition after winning the overall first place at VII Copernicus Olympiad in Houston, Texas, USA last 21-25 January 2026.

Philippines emerged as the top-performing country among 16 participating nations,
following the outstanding achievement of Warren Wade Casuga from the Holy Infant
Academy in Calapan City.

Copernicus Olympiad is regarded as one of most challenging Science Olympiads in
America that gathers young talents from different countries in the world.

Said achievement of Casuga is not just an honor to the country and the province, but a
proof that Mindoreños can excel in global competitions.
