“BASYANG” INTENSIFIES INTO A TROPICAL STORM
• Location of Center (10:00 PM)
The center of Tropical Storm BASYANG was estimated based
on all available data at 560 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao
del Sur (8.6°N, 131.4°E).
• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center,
gustiness of up to 80 km/h, and central pressure of 1000 hPa
• Present Movement
Westward at 15 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 300 km
from the center
