“BASYANG” IS NOW MOVING WESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA EAST OF MINDANAO.
• Location of Center (4:00 PM):
The center of Tropical Depression BASYANG was estimated based on all available data at 655 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (8.7°N, 132.3°E).
• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h, and central pressure of 1002 hPa
• Present Movement
Westward at 15 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong winds extend outwards up to 300 km from the center
