24 January 2026, Calapan City- Mindoro youths proved their talents in joining major
festivals and competitions in the country after the Parang National High School (PNHS)
Passionate Dancerists won third runner-up at the ILOmination: Festival of Light Festivals
2026 held at Iloilo City on 23 January.
PNHS Passionate Dancerists presented the rich culture and traditions of Oriental Mindoro
by dancing the Pandang Gitab Festival music while doning their white-themed costumes in
laid with vibrant lights that illuminated the night with colorful sparkling lights.
With their lively performance in the competition, the team also received minor awards such
as Best in Street Performance, and People’s Choice Award.
The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) under the leadership of Governor
Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, thru the Provincial Tourism Office, gave its full support to the 34
students who represented the province including financial assistance prior to the
competition.
