Mindoreños undergoing chemotherapy can now obtain free medications at the Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital (OMPH)- Cancer Access Site.
Provincial Health Officer II and Acting OMPH Chief Dr. Cielo Angela Ante announced during flag-raising ceremony of the Provincial Government’s employees on Monday, January 5 that chemo-patients can avail 11 free medications for said treatment.
Dr. Ante added that citizens can directly visit the Outpatient Department (OPD) of OMPH to claim the following free medicines:
- Carboplatin 150mg
- Carboplatin 450mg
- Cisplatin 1mg/ml (50mg/50ml)
- Cytarabine 100mg/ml, 5ml
- Docetaxel 20mg/ml, 1ml
- Docetaxel 80mg/4ml, 4ml
- Mesna 100mg/ml (400mg/4ml)
- Methotrexate 25mg/ml (50mg/2ml)
- Oxaliplatin 50mg
- Oxaliplatin 5mg/5ml, 10ml
- Paclitaxel 6mg/ml, 16.7ml
PGOM collaborates with the Provincial Department of Health Office (PDOHO) for the implementation of said program to ease the financial burden of cancer patients.
