Luna Goco Colleges Inc. (LGC) and John Paul College (JPC) prevailed in the Oriental Mindoro Intercollegiate Sports Competition Season 3 on 13 December at the Sentrong Pangkabataan, Sta. Isabel, this city.
After a series of thrilling matches between athletes from 12 private and public colleges in the province, LGC championed the Men’s Basketball against Pola Community College that earned the first place.
Southwestern Institute of Business and Technology (SIBTECH) won the second place, while Pinamalayan Maritime Foundation and Technological College, Inc. Secured the third place.
Winning teams received Php30,000.00, Php25,000.00, Php20,000.00, and Php15,000.00 respectively.
In Women’s Basketball, JPC was victorious after an action-packed match against the Divine Word College of Calapan Halcons that won as first runner-up.
SIBTECH emerged in second place, while Calapan City College took the third place.
Winning teams of this competition also received Php20,000.00, Php15,000.00, Php12,000.00, and Php10,000.00 respectively.
Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor along with First Lady Hiyas Govinda Ramos-Dolor led the grant of awards and extended their congratulatory messages and gratitude to all participants.
Gov. Dolor reaffirmed that the Provincial Government will continue to support programs that promote the excellence of young Mindoreños.
