PGOM honors 45 outstanding cooperatives, associations, and enterprises in OrMin.

The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) recognized outstanding cooperatives, associations, and enterprises in the province during the Gawad Dangal Kaunlaran ng Oriental Mindoro 2025 on 09 December 2025.

Led by the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO) under the leadership of PCD Office Orlando B. Tizon, said program aims to recognize the exemplary management and productive operations of organizations and enterprises in the province. 

PGOM also acknowledged their significant contributions as taxpayers who promote further economic development in the province.

A total of 12 winners out of 34 participants in the Search for Natatanging Kooperatiba ng Oriental Mindoro (SNKOM) were awarded in four different categories:

MICRO CATEGORY:

KASAGPI Producers Cooperative (Victoria) – 1st place

DAR Employees Cooperative in Oriental Mindoro ( Lungsod ng Calapan) – 2nd place

Salika Agriculture Cooperative (Lungsod ng Calapan) – 3rd Place

SMALL CATEGORY:

Steward Leaders Multipurpose Cooperative (Lungsod ng Calapan) – 1st place

Calima Socio-Economic Multipurpose Cooperative (Pola) – 2nd place

Catmon Farmers Multi-purpose Cooperative (Bansud) – 3rd place

MEDIUM CATEGORY:

Mansalay Agriculture Fisheries Development Cooperative (Roxas) – 1st place

Gabay sa Kaunlaran Agricultural Cooperative (Lungsod ng Calapan) – 2nd place

Bansud Livestock Multipurpose Cooperative (Bansud) – 3rd place

LARGE CATEGORY:

Bongabong Coconut Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (Bongabong) – 1st place

Naujan Multipurpose Cooperative (Naujan) – 2nd place

Victoria Operators Drivers and Commuters Transport Cooperative (Victoria) – 3rd place

First place winners received Php85,000.00, while Php50,000.00 and Php25,000.00 were awarded to the second and third place of each category respectively.

Meanwhile, the three winners from 16 participants of the Search for Natatanging Pangkabuhayan ng Oriental Mindoro (SNPOM) were also awarded:

Samahang Kapit-bisig ng Happy Valley (Roxas) – 1st place

Dao Waterlily Association (Naujan) – 2nd place

Association of Fishermen and Farmers in Pocanil (Bulalacao) – 3rd place

SPOM first place winner received Php75,000.00, while Php50,000.00 and Php25,000.00 were awarded to the second and third placers respectively.

Moreover, 15 sole-proprietors and 15 corporations from 14 municipalities and one  city in the province were also honored  for their diligent payment of taxes through the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro – Support on Taxation Awards and Recognition (PGOM-STAR).

Special Awards were also given to Ms. Raquelita M. Umali and Mr. John Mengry “Dadi Mey” Valenzuela for their contributions in the further development of cooperatives and businesses in the province.

Before the program concluded, the new Business Permit Licensing Officers (BPLO) of the province took their oath before Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor.

Gov. Bonz recognized the significant contribution of the sector to the continuous growth of the province’s revenue.

He affirmed that for every tax they pay to the government from their business income, the PGOM ensures that every cent is given to the people.
Attendees of said event were MIMAROPA Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Regional Director Alberto A. Sabarias, Department of Trade and Industry Provincial Director Arnel Hutalla, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member and Committee on Cooperative Development Chairperson Atty. Rolando Ruga, BM Fay Ilano-Navarro, BM Marion Marcos who demonstrate support to the successful activity.
