WILMA MAINTAINS ITS STRENGTH WHILE MOVING WEST SOUTHWESTWARD TOWARD EASTERN VISAYAS.
• Location of Center (10:00 AM):
The center of Tropical Depression WILMA was estimated based on all available data at 235 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.7°N, 127.6°E).
• Intensity:
Maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 55 km/h, and central pressure of 1004 hPa
• Present Movement:
West southwestward at 15 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds:
Strong winds extend outwards up to 220 km from the center
