Salong Dagitab 2025 sparkled and glittered during the official switch-on and 1st Daylight and Night Judging on the night of 30 November at the Provincial Capitol Complex.
Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor and Vice Governor Jojo S. Perez, Jr. led the event organized by the Provincial Tourism Office under the leadership of Provincial Tourism Officer Dr. Dhon V. Calda and supported by the department heads and employees of the Provincial Government as well as the private sector.
On cue from Gov. Bonz, the sky lit up with colorful fireworks display followed by the simultaneous switch-on of shining lights unveiling the beauty and artistic creativity of festival lanterns exhibit that became even more joyful through the unique performances of each cluster.
Meanwhile, live performance from Maria Juana band further enlivened the night, providing entertainment to the visitors.
Prominent individuals from various fields comprised the panel of judges for the event. On 19 December, judges will conduct the second phase and final judging night of the annual competition.
Salong Dagitab 2025 is open and free to the public every night, offering fun experience for everyone during the holiday season.
Based on the on the preliminary round judging, the results stated that:
- 1st – Giant Lantern Festival (Philippines) from Cluster 9 45.59%
- 2nd Ping Xi Sky Lantern Festival (Taiwan) from Taiwan with 41. 60%
- 3rd Visak Lantern Festival (Sri Lanka) from Cluster 2 got the third rank with 39.25% rating
- 4th Hoi An Lantern Festival (Vietnam) from Cluster 3 ranked fourth with 37.09%
- 5th Nagasaki Lantern Festival (Japan) from Cluster 7 with 36.95%
- 6th Taunggyi Tazaungdaing Lantern Festival (Myanmar) Cluster 5 with 34.32%
- 7th Lotus Lantern Festival (South Korea) Cluster 4 with 33.18%
- 8th Yuan Xiao Festival (China) Cluster 8 with 31.97%
