In line with the celebration of Farmer’s Day, the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) distributed a total of Php2.258M worth of rice and onion seeds to the Farmers Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) in Oriental Mindoro at the Demo Farm in Merit, Victoria.
Through the Provincial Agriculturist’s Office (PAgO) headed by Provincial Agriculturist Christine M. Pine, Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor and Vice Governor Jojo S. Perez Jr. personally led the distribution of 960 sacks of certified and registered rice seeds worth Php1,748,000.00 to nine (9) FCAs from the seven (7) towns in the province.
A total of 159 bags of red and white onion seeds worth Php510,000.00 were also given to 22 FCAs from Bulalacao.
This initiative manifest Gov. Bonz’ advocacy to further support farmers in improving their livelihood to boost the productivity of the agricultural sector in the province.
