Through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), the 33rd National Children’s Month was successfully celebrated at the Bulwagang Panlalawigan.
With a theme “Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children– Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (OSAEC-CSSAEM) Wakasan, Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban”, said activity aimed to promote the welfare of children and the provision of healthy and safe environment for them.
PSWD Officer Zarah C. Magboo expressed her gratitude to the attendees and emphasized the significance of a more active community participation in ensuring children’s protection.
Meanwhile, Provincial Gender and Development (GAD) Technical Working Group (TWG) Chairperson and OIC-PGSO Atty. Jean Phebie De Mesa discussed the salient points of Republic Act No. 11930 aimed at combating online sexual abuse or exploitation of children.
Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Member Bong Brucal delivered his message of support to the activity, and commended the initiative of PSWDO in raising awareness about children’s protection.
Various children, parents, and Child Development Workers from various municipalities across the province attended the event.
Participants from Pola emerged as champions in both singing competition and draw and tell activity for children during the event.
