The annual Misa ng Pasasalamat and Parada ng Sambayanan was highlighted as preliminary activities on the day of Fiesta Mahal Tana:The 75th Founding Anniversary celebration of Oriental Mindoro.
Apostolic Vicar of Calapan Most Reverend Moises M. Cuevas D. D. led the thanksgiving mass attended by the officials and employees of PGOM, Local Government Units (LGUs), and National Governments Agencies (NGAs).
The traditional Parada ng Sambayanan from Sto. Nino Cathedral to the Provincial Capitol was led by the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM) and Drums and Glockenspiel Bands from different schools in the province after the holy mass, along with various National Government Agencies, lower LGUs, academic institutions, and other private sectors who showed their support in said occasion.
Participants of said parade congregated at the Provincial Capitol Complex for a short program after the parade followed by a feast, highlighting the importance of the Fiesta Mahal Tana celebration that symbolizes the unity and achievements of the province and all Mindoreños over 75 years.
