Pinamalayan  achieves triumph in Governor’s Cup 25U Intertown Basketball tournament 2025

 Pinamalayan Basketball team won the championship game over Naujan team with a final score of 92 over 81 in the Governor’s Cup 25U Intertown Basketball Tournament 2025 at Brgy. Sta. Isabel, Calapan City.

Pinamalayan basketball team received Php2M cash prize, trophy, and P10M from the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro for the establishment of sports facilities in their town.

Naujan won first place in the tournament and received Php75,000.00 along with a trophy, while Calapan City basketball team received Php50,000.00 and a trophy as second placer, and Mansalay received Php25,000.00 with a trophy as third placer.

Each participating team was also awarded with Php50,000.00 in the said tournament.

Meanwhile, John Paul Espiritu of Pinamalayan was recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) receiving Php5,000.00.

Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor and First lady Hiyas Govinda Ramos-Dolor led the awarding of prizes along with Vice Governor Atty. Jojo S. Perez and Board Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.

Governor’s Cup 25U  Intertown Basketball tournament 2025 is an annual tournament led by the Governor’s Office-Special Concerns Division (GO-SCD) under the leadership of GO-SCD Chief Junielo Alcuran, aiming to further enhance the skills and sportsmanship of Mindoreño athletes.
