Tropical Cyclone #TinoPH

A HIGH RISK OF LIFE-THREATENING STORM SURGE may occur within the next 36 hours. There is a possibility of inundation from rising sea water along with high waves in the low-lying coastal communities in the provinces/municipalities of:

🔴Estimated storm surge heights: more than 3 meters

DINAGAT ISLANDS, EASTERN SAMAR, LEYTE, SAMAR (WESTERN SAMAR), SURIGAO DEL NORTE

🟠Estimated storm surge heights: 2.1-3 meters

BILIRAN, CEBU, LEYTE, NORTHERN SAMAR, SAMAR (WESTERN SAMAR), SOUTHERN LEYTE

🟡Estimated storm surge heights: 1-2 meters

AGUSAN DEL NORTE, AKLAN, ANTIQUE, BOHOL, CAMIGUIN, CAPIZ, CEBU, GUIMARAS, ILOILO, MASBATE, MISAMIS ORIENTAL, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL, NEGROS ORIENTAL, OCCIDENTAL MINDORO, ORIENTAL MINDORO, PALAWAN, ROMBLON, SIQUIJOR, SURIGAO DEL SUR

RECOMMENDED ACTIONS:

> Stay away from the coast or beach

> Cancel all marine activities

> Move to higher grounds away from the coast and storm surge-prone areas

> Be aware and follow latest updates from DOST-PAGASA

The public and the disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and precautionary measures, and watch for the next storm surge information to be issued at 8:00 AM today.
