SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR UNDAS 2025

The Northeast Monsoon, the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will be the dominant weather systems to affect the country during “Undas”.

From Thursday until Friday (October 30-31), the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Apayao, Abra and Ilocos Norte. Meanwhile, a Low Pressure Area may form offshore east of Visayas and along the ITCZ. Both systems will bring generally cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Central Luzon, the rest of Cagayan Valley, La Union, and Pangasinan. The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

On Saturday (November 1), the LPA and the ITCZ will continue to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Zamboanga Peninsula. Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with rains while Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region(CAR) will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with the possibility of localized rainshowers or thunderstorms.

On Sunday (November 2), MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, and Western Visayas will continue to experience cloudy condition with scattered rains and isolated thunderstoms due to the LPA and the ITCZ. The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), and Aurora while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region. The rest of the country may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with the cahnce of afternoon or evening rainshowers or thunderstorms.

The aforementioned LPA is less likely to become a tropical cyclone within the forecast period.
