New Fine arts room and skeletal remains of Tamarraw, launched at OrMin. Heritage Museum

In line with the celebration of Fiesta MahalTaNa: the 75th Founding Anniversary of Oriental Mindoro, the new Fine Arts Room and skeletal remains of a female Tamarraw were launched at the Oriental Mindoro Heritage Museum. 

Governor Humerlito โ€œBonzโ€ A. Dolor led the program, along with the Provincial Tourism Office under the leadership of Dr. Dhon Stepherson Calda, aimed to further promote and enhance the tourism, culture, and arts in the province. 

First Lady Hiyas Govinda Dolor, and Vice Governor Atty. Jojo Perez with his spouse, also witnessed the blessing, prayer, and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Rev. Fr. Mark Jay Bambao, one of the local artists featured in the exhibit of various paintings in  the new Fine Arts room.

Works and creations of local artists, and the remains of the Tamarraw will be featured in the said room, symbolizing the appreciation for the talents of local artists, and as homage to unique animal that can only be found in Mindoro island.

Staff of the Provincial Government, including Board Members from the Provincial Board, local artists in the province, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Fine Arts students and teachers from Divine Word College of Calapan, and other concerned agencies were also present during the launching ceremony.
