Twelve (12) college institutions will compete for the championship title in the Intercollegiate Sports Competition Season 3 that officially kicked off on 15 October at the Sentrong Pangkabataan, Barangay Sta. Isabel, Calapan City.
This program promoted by the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOM), under the leadership of Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor, was facilitated by the Governor’s Office-Special Concerns Division (GO-SCD) led by GO-SCD Chief Junielo Alcuran, aimed to further develop the athlethic skills, discipline, and unity of the Mindoro youths.
Various private and public colleges in the province attended the kick-off ceremony for the competition:
- John Paul College;
- Innovative College of Science and Technology;
- Mindoro State University – Bongabong Campus;
- Pinamalayan Maritime Foundation and Technological College, Inc.;
- Southwestern Institute of Business and Technology;
- Pola Community College;
- City College of Calapan;
- Mindoro State University – Calapan City Campus;
- Luna Goco Colleges;
- Divine Word College of Calapan;
- Southwestern College of Maritime Business and Technology; and
- Prince of Peace College.
Vice Governor Atty. Antonio S. Perez, Jr., alongside Board Members Carlos Voltaire Bong Brucal, Ronalee Leachon, and Ryan Arago, expressed their support for the said program.
According to Vice Gov. Perez, the Provincial Board always supports sports activities implemented by PGOM for the sports development of the young people of Oriental Mindoro.
