A total of 5.3% economic growth was recorded for the province of Oriental Mindoro in 2024, higher than the 5.0% growth in 2023, based on the Provincial Product Accounts released by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) on 14 October.
In 2024, the province’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) accumulated Php 120.97 Billion.
Three (3) leading industries that contributed to the increase of the province’s economic level are construction (16.4%), transportation and storage (13.8%), and electricity, steam, water, and waste management (11.8%).
Among these industries, the highest percentage came from services rendered within the province garnering 52.8%.
The further development of the province’s economy is a proof of effective leadership, and the collaborative efforts of the people of Oriental Mindoro towards a more stable and progressive Oriental Mindoro.
