Governor Humerlito “Bonz” A. Dolor led the formal opening of the Governor’s Cup 25U Intertown Basketball Tournament – Season 3 on 5 October at the Sentrong Pangkabataan, Barangay Sta. Isabel, Calapan City.
Governor Bonz emphasized that the basketball tournament is an opportunity to further develop the sports skills of Mindoreño athletes, and serves as the beginning of developing a new batch of talented basketball players.
Meanwhile, Vice Governor Atty. Antonio S. Perez Jr., along with Board Member Ryan Arago and Board Member Alely Casubuan expressed their support for the activity.
According to Vice Governor Perez, Sangguniang Panlalwigan supports such sports programs for the youths of Mindoro.
Moreover, the activity also included the awarding of cash incentives and plaques of recognition to 2025 Palarong Pambansa bronze medalist Lemmor Dean L. Parone, a Badminton Athlete, and his coach.
Bulalacao Mayor Lumel Cabagay, Pinamalayan Mayor Rodel Magsino, Mansalay Vice Mayor Joel Maliwanag, and other officials and representatives from the Local Government Units (LGUs) were also present on the event.
This event is still a part of the activities for the celebration of Fiesta MAHAL TANA:The 75th Anniversary of Oriental Mindoro.
